Volunteer Committees

Community Outreach - Hewan, Chair

The purpose of the Community Outreach Committee is to keep the AG2 homeowners and tenants connected and aware of community rules, issues, events, activities, and other concerns. The overall goal of the committee is to ensure that all residents are informed and engaged. Primary activities include:

  • Assist with homeowner notifications of HOA meetings.

  • Assist with preparation of periodic informational newsletters.

  • Suggest and submit content for AG2 website.

  • Coordinate community outreach activities

  • Alert Homeowners to relevant City of Carson meetings, activities, and events. 

  • Inform homeowners of opportunities to volunteer.

  • Serve as a point of reference and support for resident information distribution. 

 

Landscaping - Susan, Chair

The purpose of the Landscaping Committee is to monitor, evaluate, and ensure proper care of the AG2 green spaces. The overall goal of the committee is to balance beautification and community outdoor enjoyment measures against water conservation, root damage, and fire safety precautions. Primary activities include:

  • Monitoring areas for beatification.

  • Identifying trees for trimming. 

  • Liaising with the landscaping contractor (committee chair only).

  • Looking for under/over water-saturated areas. 

  • Preservation of community green spaces.

  • Evaluating risk for root damage and fire spread.

  • Water-saving efforts (plane/tree removal, succulent plants, etc.).

  • Report any violations of common space garden use to the Violations Committee. 

 

Safety - Sharma, Chair

The purpose of the Safety Committee is to serve as a hub for keeping the AG2 community safe and secure. The overall goal of the committee is to ensure that proper safety precautions and protocols are put in place and adhered to by all residents. Primary activities include: 

  • Coordinate Neighborhood Watch meetings and activities.

  • Serve as liaison between AG2 and the Sheriff’s Department (committee chair).

  • Identify resources and group discounts on safety and crime prevention devices.

  • Conduct community safety awareness campaigns.

  • Monitor complex for security and safety risks.

  • Make recommendations to the board to improve common area safety.

  • Assist with the reporting of zoning and other violations to the proper authorities.

  • Report violations of the law to the Carson Sheriff's Station.

  • Report any violations of the rules or the law to the Violations Committee. 

Maintenance - Sam, Chair

The purpose of the Maintenance Committee is to identify, address, and mitigate any maintenance issues located throughout the common areas of the AG2 complex. The overall goal of the committee is to ensure that the community is properly maintained at all times. Primary activities include:

  • Monitor complex to identify any unaddressed maintenance issues.

  • Receive and distribute maintenance requests to handyman employees. 

  • Serve as primary liaison between the handyman employees and the board (committee chair only).

  • Provide reports of work completed to the property management company and the board.

  • Document, report, and monitor progress to completion of any maintenance needs. 

  • Make recommendations to the board regarding preventive, major, and long-term maintenance projects.

  • Report any violations of common space use to the Violations Committee.

 

Violations - Juan, Chair

The purpose of the Violations Committee is to identify, receive, report, and address any resident violations throughout the complex. The overall goal of the committee is to ensure that all violations are resolved in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.  Primary activities include:

  • Monitor the AG2 complex for violations of the AG2 rules and regulations and the CC&Rs.

  • Receive violation reports from the AG2 volunteer committees. 

  • Report violations to the property Management Company. 

  • Assist the property management company with following-up on violation reports and inspect the premises to confirm the existence and correction of reported concerns.

  • Work with the Community Outreach Committee and the Management Company to alert, remind, and update the residents on AG2 rules, regulations, and CC&Rs.

  • Report any violations to the property Management Company.
